All three give a professional finish — the difference is how the booklet opens, feels, and which cover weight suits it best.

Saddle-Stitch

Look & feel: Classic booklet spine, folds shut naturally

Frequently asked questions

Why does the page count have to be a multiple of 4?

Saddle-stitching folds and staples printed sheets in signatures of 4 pages, so every booklet's total page count must land on a multiple of 4. We'll flag it automatically if your artwork doesn't match.

Which cover weight and finish should I pick?

170 GSM Art Paper (Gloss) is our lightest cover and pairs well with Perfect binding. 220 and 300 GSM Art Card are the most popular middle weights, sturdy enough for everyday catalogues and reports. 350 GSM Art Card is our heaviest, most protective cover and pairs well with Wire-O binding. Every cardstock weight comes in Gloss (colours pop) or Matte (softer, non-reflective).

Which inner page stock should I pick?

80 GSM Maplitho is our lightest, most economical option and suits manuals and text-heavy programmes. 100 GSM Maplitho is a step up in weight and opacity for everyday booklets. 130 GSM Art Paper is coated and heavier, giving photos and colour more punch — great for catalogues and lookbooks.

Saddle-Stitch, Wire-O or Perfect Bound — which should I choose?

Saddle-Stitch gives a classic booklet look and is the most economical choice, but it's only available up to 64 pages — beyond that the block is too thick to staple. Perfect Bound gives a flat, squared spine that looks like a real book and works well from 68 pages up. Wire-O lets the booklet open completely flat, which is useful for anything meant to stay open on a table, like a workbook or manual.

What's the difference between Left and Top Side Binding?

Left Side Binding is the standard choice for portrait booklets read like a normal book. Top Side Binding puts the spine along the top edge instead — the usual choice for landscape-orientation booklets, calendars, or flip-style layouts.

What's the minimum order, and is there bulk pricing?

25 booklets. Prices per booklet drop noticeably at 250, 500 and 1,000, and again at 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000+ for large runs — select your quantity above to see the exact price, or ask us for a custom quote on very large orders.

Do I have to pay before printing?

No. We send a free digital proof first and only print — and only charge — once you approve it.
